JAMMU, July 30: Founder Convener of Tawi Andolan Chander Mohan Sharma has said that delay in the execution of Sabarmati Project and creating of artificial lake on Tawi is a matter of concern.
Addressing a press conference, Sharma said that opinion of local experts must be taken in to account before execution of the projects.
He said that the August 15 has been fixed as time limit for mapping and preparing the list of encroachers has created confidence among the people that encroached land will be retrieved.
Sharma said that Tawi Andolan will bring to the notice of the High Court that there are large scale encroachments in river Tawi beyond Belicharana.
Among others present were Subash Gupta, Surinder Sharma, Balwinder Singh Bhatia, Prof BL Bhardwaj and Ramesh Gupta.
