Jammu Police distributes Volleyball kits among Youth Clubs

JAMMU, July 30: On the directions of  IGP Jammu, SD Singh Jamwal, to encourage the youth to involve themselves in sports related activities, sports kits including 2 Volleyballs with net have been provided to the youths under Civic Action Programme (CAP) by SP Hqrs. Jammu, R C Kotwal, JKPS under the guidance of SSP Jammu, Vivek Gupta, to the Gourav Fitness Club of R.S. Pura and Prem Nagar Sports Club of Miran Sahib, here today.
The Volleyball kits have been provided to the youths of these areas, as they during various interactions with the Police have been asking for the same.
The Jammu Police have provided these kits to the youths for channelizing their energy in sports activities and not to fall prey to drug abuse.
At the same time they have been informed that all out efforts be made to eradicate the social evils from the society. Further they have been advised to keep a hawk’s eye on the activities of the ANEs/Criminal elements and act as eyes and ears of the Police.
It is pertinent to mention here that J&K Police had launched various other schemes and initiatives for the sports activities of youths in the rural areas under CAP. Locals of the area have appreciated the efforts of Jammu Police.
