JAMMU, Nov 28: Condemning the militants’ attack in the border town of Arnia, here, the Vikram Malhotra, Congress candidate, Jammu East Assembly segment said that such cowardly acts are perpetrated by the forces of terror, intent of derailing the peace and harmony besides disturbing the democratic process of elections in the State, today.
Malhotra, while giving impetus to his election campaign, today toured localities in ward-1 and interacted with the masses. On the occasion, he addressed various corner meetings and listened to the grievances of the locals.
He said that he condemns the elements inimical to peace, who attempt to create wedge between various sections of society by exploiting regional and religious sentiments and hoped the people will see through their dirty game plan of divide and rule.
Vikram said that candidates belonging to other parties have no agenda except vitiating the political situation, as they have failed to raise the genuine public issues during the past six years.
Maintaining that there is need to further accelerate the process of progress and development in the Jammu east constituency, Malhotra said that no stone would be left unturned by him to convert this constituency into a ‘Model Constituency’.
On the occasion, Malhotra also informed the people about the developmental works carried out by him in this constituency.
