“Already cost of farming is very high as labour and inputs have shoot up. Mostly, farmers depend on crop for making their social needs of the family and society like education of children, marriages of their children, construction of their houses and other needs. Sadhotra demanded that Paddy Crop damage be declared as natural calamity and compensation be given on the basis of 100% loss of crop. He also demanded that loss of vegetables be also adequately compensated, free wheat seed and fertilizers be given to farmers to sow next crop and involve farmers in marketing process to avoid middle man.
