JAMMU, Apr 5: The State BJP has approached Election Commission by submitting an application that Banihal, Inderwal, Mahore and Gool-Gulabgarh areas falling in Kathua-Udhampur Parliamentary constituency be declared as hyper sensitive segments. This was disclosed by Chander Mohan Sharma, Senior party leader and National Co-Convener of J&K Cell of BJP while addressing a press conference at party headquarters here today along with BJP senior leader Mohan Singh Chauhan and Media secretary, Balbir Ram.
Sharma further said that the party has also demanded deployment of CRPF personnel in these areas along with deployment of polling staff from outside the State. The Party has reasons to believe that there is a conspiracy of rigging of elections hatched by ruling coalition on the instance of Gulam Nabi Azad. The deployment of J&K Police personnel in these areas will not be desirable in such circumstances.
Chander Mohan Sharma drew attention of Election Commission towards the frequent use of chopper by Congress candidate Gulam Nabi Azad. The expenditure of one hour of helicopter use comes to nearly Rs. one lakh, which indicates that Congress candidate Azad has already spent Rs. 70 lakhs as allowed by statue and if at all the chopper is being used by him and the Chief Minister in their official capacity then it is clear case of misuse of Government machinery during the elections when Model Code of Conduct is in force.
Sharma has raised serious objection to the use of SOG commandos by Azad during the campaigning. The use of SOG commandos and Jammers can unduly influence the minds of innocent voters. Sharma said that by fielding Azad in the elections the Coalition government has put Kashmiri domination on the people of the Jammu.
BJP Senior leader asked Omar Abdullah to apologize for attacks and arson let loose on helpless minorities in Kishtwar last year, before expecting such act from Modi who has been proven innocent by various judicial fora. That is why lakhs of Muslims from all over the country are joining and supporting BJP with pride on the performance of Modi who has attained the status of Vikaspurush.
