BANIHAL, July 4: A meeting of block working committee of National Conference (NC) unit of Khari- Mahu Mangit was held here today which was chaired by NC district president Ramban, Sajjad Shaheen.
Various organizational and public issues were discussed in the meeting.
Speaking in the meeting Shaheen said that people in general and NC workers in particular have an important role to play in addressing some of the most significant challenges faced by the people of J&K.
He said that a decisive battle is needed to be fought against divisive forces, who have taken central stage by exploiting regional and religious sentiments to further their nefarious political agenda.
The NC leader claimed that emergence of new political parties in J&K is aimed at dividing the people particularly in Kashmir to get enough seats for a particular party to form next government in J&K and put a stamp on August 5, 2019 decision to weaken the case in apex court.
DDC Member Khari, Gulshan Parveen also spoke on the occasion.
On this occasion youth NC leader, Shabir Ahmed Naik was unanimously reelected as youth block president, Khari and Riyaz Ahmed Naik was elected as youth block secretary.
Block NC president, Mohamed Ashraf Naik; tehsil president, Gulam Hasan Naik and others also spoke on the occasion.
