BENGALURU: The city-based DEBEL, an organ of DRDO, has developed ILSS-OBOGS, an indigenous ‘on-board oxygen generating system’ (OBOGS) based ‘integrated life support system’ (ILSS) for indigenous LCA Tejas.
The system provide, enhanced physiological protection to aircrew of high speed and high altitude fighter aircraft Tejas with primary objective of meeting long endurance flights. It was handed over yesterday evening by V C Padaki, Director, DEBEL (Defence Bio-medical and Electro-medical Laboratory) to P S Subramaniam, Program Director – Combat Aircrafts and Director Aeronautical Development Agency, in the presence of K Tamil Mani, DG Aeronautical Systems and Manas K Mandal, DG Life Sciences in the presence of other directors of Bengaluru based laboratories and DRDO officials.
