JAMMU, July 8: The Staff of Drugs and Food Control Orgainsation (DFCO)conducted inspections of sale outlets of medicines and samples of various drugs formulations lifted to check its identity, strength and purity, today.
Show cause notices were issued to four retail sale establishment namely M/s Sudan Medicos, main bazaar, R S Pura, M/s Sukrala Medical Hall, Saharan, Gajansoo, M/s Cooperative fair Price Medical shop, inside SDH, Akhnoor, M/s Prem Medical Hall, inside SDH, Akhnoor by the Licensing Authority, Jammu for carrying out their operation besides committing breaches of the provisions of Drugs and Cosmetic , Act, 1940 and rules thereunder.
Dealers of Bakshi Nagar area have been issued circular instructions to maintain standards of medical treatment. The retailer licenses of M/s Ram Medicos, Anand Nagar, Bohri have been suspended till further orders by Licensing Authority, Jammu. The said dealer has been booked by police authorities of NDPS Act.
The samples lifted has been referred to State Drug Testing Laboratories for opinion.
