JAMMU, Feb 13: A deaf and dumb girl was gang-raped by youths in Ragoora area, falling under the jurisdiction of Bagh-e-Bahu police station.
As per police sources, the patrolling party from Bagh-e-Bahu heard voice of a girl coming out from an alto car bearing registration number JK02AD-2205 parked in the Ragoora area.
When the police personnel tried to inquiry, the occupants of the car escaped from the spot along with the vehicle.
Stinking something fishy, police team chased the vehicle and intercepted it near some distance, but by the time, the occupants of the car fled from the spot.
A deaf and dumb girl was spotted in the vehicle by the police cops, who shifted her to hospital, where her medical examination was conducted, which confirmed that the girl has been raped.
A case under Section 376 RPC has been registered at Bagh-e-Bahu police station and manhunt has been launched to nab the accused.
