UDHAMPUR, July 2: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr. Piyush Singla today convened a meeting with officers of concerned department to review the progress achieved under Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) sector in the district.
Detailed discussion were held on various issues which include physical/financial Progress, status of hot mixing plant, black topping,Forest clearance issues, felling of trees, land acquisition and compensation.
At the outset, SE PMGSY, Ajay Kumar Raju briefed about the progress of various developmental projects being executed in PMGSY sector in the district.
While reviewing the road and Division wise progress of PMGSY projects Dr Singla directed the concerned authorities to expedite the progress of work and achieve the targets set by the Government as per the timeline. During the meeting, Sub division wise targets and achievements were also discussed and asked the concerned AEEs to enhance the progress on priority and also warned that slow perfomers will be dealt strictly.The DDC also asked the PMGSY department to submit roadwise fortnightly progress in his office without failure.
He directed the concerned authorities for resolving the pendency of issues and removing bottlenecks if any on priority so that execution of roads and projects shall not be delayed. He further instructed the officers to monitor the pace of work on regular basis and take care of existing public utilities so that public do not suffer. He informed them that these public projects cannot be delayed at any cost. The DDC further asked the concerned departments for clearance pending joint verification of all projects immediately and removal of bottlenecks hindering the progress of sanctioned development works.
Among others, Additional District Development Commissioner, Ashok Kumar, Chief Planning Officer, Rajeev Bhushan, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Vikar Giri, All SDMs, Executive Engineers PMGSY Divisions and other officers of concerned departments were present in the meeting.
