BARAMULLA, May 2: In order to make Public Services Guarantee Act (PSGA) more effictive and accessible to the people, District Development Commissioner Baramulla Yasha Mudgal taday chaired a meeting of officers of various departments.
While highlighting the significance of implementation of PGSA, the DDC directed the officers to display the hoardings expressing guidelines regarding Public Services Guarantees Act at their respective offices.
The DDC directed the SDMs and Tehsildars to hold awareness camps in their respective areas to highlight the importance of the Act. The DDC also laid emphasis upon the proper redressal of public grievances so as to make administration more accountable to the people.
Meanwhile, the DDC took a comprehensive review of implementation of National Food Security Act (NFSA) and distribution of ration in the district. She directed concerned SDMs and Tehsildars to pay a surprise visit to their respective stores so as to maintain the standard ration rates.
While taking a thorough review about distribution of ration cards, the DDC directed the CA&PD Department for early distribution of e-ration tickets to the consumers.
