RAJOURI, Dec 25: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, conducted a surprise inspection of the REW office, today.
It is pertinent to mention here that during the review meeting of the RDD sector a few days back, it was pointed out that there was a huge difference between the works tendered and allotments made in terms of district capex, and to close the gap, the District Development Commissioner has instructed the Executive Engineer REW to keep his office open on holidays.
In this context, taking serious note of the issue and to ensure timely execution of works on the ground, the District Development Commissioner conducted a surprise inspection of the REW office.
During the inspection, the DDC took stock of the progress made in the tendering process, the allotments made in the last few days, and the actual number of work starts on the ground.
Taking note of the biometric attendance of the staff, he also maintained that no laxity would be allowed in the maintenance of proper discipline and punctuality in government offices in the interest of the greater good and efficient public service delivery.
The DDC also instructed that all the Block offices will ensure Biometric attendance as already directed.
Among the others, the Executive Engineer REW, Zahir Khan, and Block Development Officer Rajouri, Chander Kant Bhagat, were present on the occasion.
