DDC inspects progress on development projects

RAJOURI, Mar 20: District Development Commissioner Rajouri, Vikas Kundal today conducted an extensive tour of Rajouri Township and inspected the progress of work on a number of developmental projects being executed in different parts of the city.
The projects inspected included Adbullah bridge, approach road to Hamilton bridge, approach road to Vedant Ashram, Labour Department building, road from workshop bridge to Gambir Bharmna and road from Rajouri town to BGSBU.
Taking stock of the progress on the double-laning of Abdullah Bridge with a total length of 120 meters, it was informed that the project was approved under a languishing scheme at an estimated cost of Rs 6.20 crore. The concerned officer said that the abutments have been laid and superstructure work is complete while the deck slab would be laid shortly.
At Rajouri town to BGSBU road, the DDC was apprised that the estimated cost of the project is 2670.05 lacs and the total length of the road is 08 Kms. It was further informed that widening work on 07 Kms of the road is complete.
While reviewing the progress on approach road to Hamilton bridge, the concerned officer informed that the estimated cost of road is 16 lacs. DDC also visited the approach road of the Vedant Ashram where he was apprised that the estimated cost of the road is 268 lacs and the work on the road would start shortly.
During his visit to the Labour Department building, it was informed that the work on the building has been completed in all respects and would be handed over to the concerned department by 25 March this year.
At Govt Girls Model Higher Secondary School Rajouri, the DDC was apprised that the building has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs 139 lacs and handed over to the School Education Department.
