KISHTWAR, July 29: District Development Commissioner Kishtwar Rajinder Singh Tara today inspected ongoing works of 100 bedded block at District Hospital Complex here.
He was accompained by Deputy General Manager JKPCC Raman Sahni,Medical Superintendent District Hospital Kishtwar Dr. Parveez Iqbal Wani, XEn PWD Kishtwar Romesh Kumar ,AEE PWD Kishtwar Masood Mintoo and other concerned officials.
He urged the executing agency to complete the pending works as soon as possible so that the additional block is made functional to the general public.
The DGM JKPCC informed that the additional 100 bedded block which is to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs 19.64 crore and is to be completed by June 2022, will augment the capacity of district hospital in managing the increasing caseloads.
Further,he informed that an amount of Rs1.38 crore stands released by the head office which has been utilised in the procurement of steel, surface and other foundation work so far.
Meanwhile , DDC kishtwar also inspected the Eye Block, District Hospital complex kishtwar, which is being constructed by PWD (sub division Kishtwar) with an estimated cost of Rs 82 lakhs and the construction of which is going in full swing and shall be completed by the end of this year.
Eye Block will consist of 05 rooms along with the toilet facilities informed, XEN PWD Kishtwar.
XEn further informed that an ICU block will be constructed over this Eye Block in the second phase for which plan stands approved and DPR is under process.
