UDHAMPUR, Feb 14: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal inaugurated Udhampur Town Water Supply Scheme (WSS) under UIDSSMT at Salmey Old, Jakhani in Udhampur district here today.
Completed at a cost of Rs. 2882.18 lacs, the scheme would benefit 146590 souls of the Udhampur town which mainly include Jakhani, Omara Morh, and Udhampur city etc.
Speaking on the occasion Mrs. Mudgal complemented the inhabitants of the town for getting their long pending demand full filled. She said that the scheme would help to cater drinking water shortage in the town. She also inspected the working of water supply scheme at the water station.
Among others, Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, Superintendent Engineer PHE, Executive Engineer PHE, Nisar Khan, Executive Engineers R&B and Irrigation & Flood Control, Tehsildar Udhampur, senior officers of various department and people of the area were also present on the occasion.
