UDHAMPUR, Feb 6: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal inaugurated newly constructed Additional Class Room(ACR) buildings in five Middle Schools of Jib, Ghordi and Udhampur Education Zones, here today.
Additional Class Rooms in Government Middle School Karoa of Zone Jib, MS Patli of Zone Ghordi, MS Kotli Pain and MS Lansi of Zone Udhampur comprises of three rooms in every school have been constructed with an estimated cost of Rs. 10 lakh each under Sarv Shiksha Abhiyan (SSA) scheme. While Additional Class Rooms in Government Middle School Malhar were completed with an amount of Rs. 4.95 lakh under SSA scheme.
The DDC complemented the people of the areas and underscored the importance of development of infrastructure under SSA in schools for bringing better learning environment. She appealed people of the areas to bring their wards to Government schools to avail all benefits for overall development of their children.
She inspected quality of mid-day meals being provided to school children during her visit and instructed heads of schools to maintain cleanliness in preparing the meals.
DDC also interacted with the people of the areas who projected their problems regarding power & water supply, link road to Middle School Karoa, ground leveling at GMS Lansi, construction of boundary wall etc. The people of Malhar demanded construction of over bridge from National Highway to MS Malhar school premises.
On the spot, DDC gave instructions to the officers concerned to redress the grievances of people.
Among others, Joint Director Planning, Rakesh Jamwal, Executive Engineers PWD, PDD, Irrigation & PHE, Chief Education Officer, Chief Medical Officer, Chief Agriculture officer, District Panchayat Officer, ZEOs of Ghordi, Jib and Udhampur Zones, other senior officers of various departments, Sarpanches, Panches and a large no. of people were also present during the programme.
