RAJOURI, June 10: District Development Council (DDC), chairman, Rajouri Adv Naseem Liaqat Choudhary has alleged that District Administration Rajouri was working on behest of particular political party and not entertaining the works suggested by the people from NC or other parties.
Talking to media-persons here today, Naseem alleged that an NGO from America had offered to set up three 50-bedded hospitals in J&K and for it, by using his influence, he managed one hospital sanctioned for Rajouri district. After discussing with own members, Peeri in Kandi was selected as place for raising this hospital.
When they approached Dy Commissioner Rajouri, R K Shavan to allot some suitable Govt land, he rejected the file. He alleged that DC was working against the proposals mooted by National Conference and Congress.
DC Rajouri, however, when contacted said he is not working on behest of any party but for the public welfare. He said at Peeri already a PHC exists. There is no purpose to raise another hospital there. The place should be where no such facility is available. Moreover, NGO would provide only Pre-fabricated material for raising building. All other expenses are to be borne by the District Administration.
