DDC Chairman lays foundation stone of foot bridge

DODA, Feb 13: District Development Council Chairman Doda, Dhananter Singh Kotwal laid foundation stone of much awaited Foot Bridge over Butla Nalla here in Panchayat Butla.
The bridge is being constructed under Capex budget at an estimated cost of about Rs 19.5 lakh and is expected to be completed by the end of March 2022 (this financial year).
Addressing the gathering after laying the foundation of the bridge, the Chairman said that it was a long pending demand of locals as they were facing a lot of hardships in crossing the Butla nallah, especially during the rainy season. He regretted that the rivulet has claimed many precious lives in absence of the foot bridge.
The local People and PRIs expressed their gratitude to the Chairman and the government for fulfilling their much needed demand.
BDC Chairperson, BDO Bhaderwah, Sarpanches, Panches and locals of the area attended the foundation laying ceremony.
Meanwhile, the DDC Chairman on Sunday inaugurated the Forest Trek Route spanning 14 km from village Maneshi to Makkhan Baggi via picturesque Lal Dramman here from village Maneshi of Doda Tehsil.
The chief guest DDC Chairman was accompanied by CF Chenab Dr.Jitrndra Singh, DFO Doda.
The Forest department on the directions of Lt. Governor has inaugurated Forest Trek routes across the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir.
