JAMMU, July 2: Chairman District Development Council (DDC) Jammu, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi kick-started the macadamization work of the road strip from Bathera bridge to Dharam Koo Mohalla here, today.
This macadamization project of approximately 1.3 km road length will be completed at an estimated cost of Rs. 19 lakh under the much talked about city town scheme.
While addressing the gathering of people on the occasion DDC Chairman, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) stands committed to provide basic amenities to the people across the length and breadth of the nation. He appreciated the efforts of Deputy Commissioner Jammu for becoming proactive especially after coming into existence of the District Development Councils and resolving this long pending issues of the people within a short span of time.
Meanwhile, DDC Chairman, Bharat Bhushan Bodhi also dedicated to the people a new tube well at village Kangar which is purely a Kandi and mountainous area. It is pertinent to mention here that this tube well will cater to the drinking water requirement of more than 4000 people of this village and its adjacent areas.
While addressing people at the site of the tube well, Bharat Bhushan lauded the efforts of Mandal Pradhan Ashok Kerni for his selfless and dedicated efforts in taking up people’s issues with the concerned authorities at various fora.
Assuring full support and cooperation to address people’s issues, the DDC Chairman said that the Bharatiya Janata Party Government at the Centre has extended full support to the States and Union Territories for the overall development. This is all the more appreciable keeping in view the fact that the whole men and machinery of the Government in this hour of crisis on account of pandemic is focussing on strengthening the healthcare structure under the stewardship of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Prominent among others who were present on the occasion were Mandal Pradhan Ashok Kerni, BDC Chairman Kuldeep Raj, Omi Khajuria State president BJP Kisan Morcha, Sarpanch Kangar Mohammad Ameen, Asgar Ali, Ex Sarpanch Narinder Singh, Panch Sukhdev Singh, Kulwant Singh, Ankit and Vaishno Devi.
