LEH, Mar 9: District Congress Committee (DCC) Leh organised a protest “Chorahai Pe Charcha” at Balkhang Chowk today. The protest was held under chairmanship of DCC president, Tsering Samphel to highlight various issues including skyrocketing airfare.
Highlighting the burning problems being faced by the public particularly the student community studying outside Ladakh and the patients from Ladakh who are charged skyrocketing airfare by airlines on Leh sectors, DCC President, Tsering Samphel called it a callous attitude of ruling party towards Ladakh and their negligence of Ladakhi interest.
He alleged that parking charges in Leh are very high, people of Khaltsi Sub-Division and few other areas are facing delay in getting PRCs and ST certificates. They also alleged that many of the projects started during Congress regime are being deliberately delayed on petty political grounds and work on the sewerage water supply and Leh beautification projects are progressing at snail speed.
