DCC demands opening of Zojila, air service to Kargil

KARGIL, Dec 18: District Congress Committee Kargil has demanded opening of Zojila Pass and launch of air service to Kargil without any more delay.
Talking to media persons here today, DCC Kargil general secretary Zakir Hussain projected various issues concerning people of Kargil district. He appealed to the Lt Governor UT of Ladakh R K Mathur and CEC LAHDC Kargil to reopen the Zojila Pass as the owner of the stranded vehicles find it difficult to find parking spaces and the closure of Zojila has caused shortage of essential commodities in the local market and the general public is suffering hugely.
He also appealed the concern authorities for immediate restoration of AN-32 courier service between Kargil-Srinagar and Kargil-Jammu.
While talking on the internet down in Kargil, he asked for immediate restoration of internet services as the students and public are suffering due to lack of communication.
Regarding the issue of local engineers he said that the local engineers should be inducted in the posts instead of deputing them from outside Ladakh.
Regarding CAA, he said that the Bill is unconstitutional and damaging the secular fabric of India. He also condemned the actions of police in Jamia and AMU Universities.
Talking on the issue of 14 point memorandum kept before LG by Joint Action Committee Kargil JAC, he appealed to LG to address these issues in the interest of general public of Kargil.
Kacho Feroz, Councilor Pashkum and senior Congress leader also spoke during the conference.
Syed Mohd Shah Councilor Bimbhat, Sheikh Gh Mehdi Councilor Baroo, Mohd Ismail senior Congress leader, Khadim Hussain senior leader, Advocate Talib Hussain and other Congress leaders were present during the Press conference.
