UDHAMPUR, Aug 9: Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Piyush Singla today issued 350 new permits for hungry routes during a meeting held with the Regional Transport Authority in this regard.
Pertinently, these permits have been issued in view of increased demand of public transport and to curb the menace of overloading. These permits have been issued for hungry routes like Moungri, Lander, Pattangarh, Basantgarh, Latti etc.
DC said that purchase of vehicle must be done within three months from the date of issue of Letter of Authority. He informed that approximately 350 new vehicles of every class like bus, mini-bus, taxi-cabs, maxi-cabs, auto rickshaws etc will be plying on roads in next few months thus solving the menace of overloading.
