DC stops salary of CMO, BMOs, staff

POONCH, June 27: Deputy Commissioner, Poonch, Inder Jeet has withheld the salary of Chief Medical Officer, Chief Education Officer, Medical Superintendent Poonch hospital, all BMOs, Tehsildars, BDOs, all ZEOs and other staff engaged in Vaccination process in district Poonch for poor performance.
An official spokesman said that Vaccination of eligible persons is one of the most important parameters to contain spread of Corona virus. Despite repeated instructions, the Vaccination percentage of above 45 population, is only 87 % in the district, which has been viewed very seriously by the higher authorities. It shows laxity on the part of officers/ officials deployed in vaccination drive.
Taking serious note of the issue, the Deputy Commissioner, Poonch has stopped the salary of all the officers and other staff connected with the Vaccination process in the entire Poonch district, till further orders. In case of non-gazetted employees whose salary bills shall be sent to the Govt Treasuries, the concerned DDOs shall furnish a certificate mentioning therein that these employees are not engaged in Vaccination drive.
The District Treasury Officer, Poonch and heads/officers of other Sub Treasuries in the entire district have been directed not to entertain the salary bills of these officers/staff mentioned above for the month of June 2021.
