DC Samba takes stock of people’s problems

SAMBA (RAJPURA), May 16: Deputy Commissioner Samba Sushma Chauhan today listened to people’s issues at border tehsil Rajpura.
The locals sought regular supply of ration, adequate power, safe drinking water, repair of roads, land for cremation ground, medicine supplies to primary health centre and approval of pending pension cases.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the PHE Department to get the water samples of the sources tested and make sure that water unfit for drinking is not supplied to the public.
The DC directed AD CAPD to enquire into the public complaints about irregular supply of ration in some areas.
The ACD Samba informed that pending wages under MGNREGA will be released soon.
The DC also directed the ACD for sanctioning a vocational training centre in Tehsil Rajpura.
Assistant Commissioner (Development) Mudassir Latifi, Sub Divisional Magistrate Ghagwal Ritu Mahajan, Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour, District Social Welfare Officer Deep Kumar, District Information Officer Ajay Sharma, BDO Rajpura, Tehsildar Rajpura Xen PHE, PWD, CMO Samba, BMO and other district heads of various departments.
