Samba, Jan 28: District Development Commissioner, Samba Rohit Khajuria along with Chief Planning Officer, Sukhleen Kour today inaugurated water supply scheme Nichala Badla under National Rural Drinking Water Programme (NRDWP) in block Ghagwal and revival of Filtration Plant at Dain Dabbar in block Nud under Capex Budget.
On the occasion Superintendent Engineer, Circle Jammu S.K Puri, Executive Engineer, Samba Surinder Kumar, Sub Divisional Magistrate Ghagwal, Ram Kesh Sharma, Block Development Council Chairman Ghagwal Vijay Tagorta, Block Development Council Chairman Nud, Dev Raj besides sarpanches and panches of concerned panchayats and general public were also present.
The Water Supply Scheme Nichala Badla, in block Ghagwal has been completed at an estimated cost of 130.00 lakh and it will benefit about 1800 souls. The revival of filtration Plant at Dain Dabbar, in Block, Nud, has been completed at an estimated cost of Rs 17.40 lakh and about 4000 population will be benefited by the scheme. Further 50000 GPD (Gallons per day) and 60000 GPD water will be added by the schemes in block Gaghwal and Nud respectively.
