DC Samba inaugurates children’s music competition

SAMBA, Sept 13: On the spot children music competition of district Samba was organized by Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages in association with district administration, Samba today. The competition was inaugurated by Sheetal Nanda, Deputy Commissioner, Samba who was also the chief guest on the occasion.
The competition was held at Government Model Boys Higher Secondary School, Samba.  Dhanater Singh, DEPO, Samba, Arvind Kumar Kaul, Principal, Government Model Higher Secendary School, Samba, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn, Additional Secretary, Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages and  Rekha Sharma representative from CEO Office Samba and Liaison Officer of the event were also present in the presidium.
While speaking on the occasion, Sheetal Nanda complimented the participating children and said that the presentation and the confidence level of the students particularly referring the infant and junior group were highly appreciable. She further appreciated the Jammu and Kashmir Academy of Art, Culture and Languages for organizing this event first time in this region and providing the students and youth of the district Samba to show case their talent. She also hoped that this event to be continued as regular feature.
Earlier, while welcoming the chief guest, students, and the audience, Dr Arvinder Singh Amn informed about the future activities and also appreciated the local administration for their full cooperation and support for organizing this activity in the Samba district. He also disclosed that on the same pattern the on the spot painting competition of the children will be organized in near future.
The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Anil Tickoo, Assistant Cultural Officer, JKAACL and Rekha Sharma, Laisan Officer from CEO office, Samba and vote of thanks was presented by  Bhupinder Singh Jamwal, Choreographer who is also incharge of the programme from JKAACL. This event is also very ably conducted with the assistance of Bishan Das, ACO, JKAACL. The adjudicators were C S Katal, Upma Sharma and Parshotam Kumar.
