KHALTSE, June 1 : Deputy Commissioner Sham, Kunzes Angmo today chaired a review meeting at the Conference Hall of DC Sham, Khaltse, to assess the progress of developmental works and review the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, across the district.
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed various developmental projects being executed under different schemes of the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Rural Development Department (RDD).
She also examined the status of the implementation of the Solid Waste Management Rules, 2026, and emphasized the need for effective waste management practices in all blocks and villages of the district.
Stressing the importance of timely execution of projects, the Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to ensure the completion of developmental works within the stipulated timeframe.
She further underscored the significance of maintaining cleanliness and strengthening waste collection, segregation, and disposal mechanisms to promote a healthy, clean, and sustainable environment.
The meeting was attended by Sub-Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Khaltse, Mohd Sharif; Executive Engineer, PWD Khaltse, Ghulam Abass; Block Development Officer, Khaltse, Pankaj Rajput; and concerned Junior Engineers (JEs) of PWD and LREDA.
