DC reviews implementation of DDB decisions

UDHAMPUR, Jan 22: In order to take the stock of implementation of decisions and action taken report in the District Development Board (DDB) review meetings held  in respect of the district Udhampur and other issues pertaining to Urban Local Bodies, a meeting was held here today under the chairmanship of District Development Commiss-ioner, Udhampur, Yasha Mudgal.
In the meeting threadbare discussions were held upon the various issues which include shifting of slaughter house, establishment of Solid Waste Management Plant (SWMP), disbursement of  amount for the construction of house under IHSDP, completion of Udhampur Community Hall. Besides this some other issues were also discussed in the meeting which include modernization of meat shops, installation of street lights and renovation of passenger sheds in the town and land for bus stand Chenani.
While reviewing the status of implementation of decisions taken in the DDB and DDB review meetings, the DDC stressed upon the officers for time bound implementation of decisions. She directed the CEO Municipal Council to make a joint visit with officers of Pollution Control Board to the land already identified for the establishment of SWMP for ensuring early NOC for the Board.
She directed for taking growing urban population into consideration while preparing Detailed Project Report for establishment of SWMP so that it would cater the garbage disposal problem of the town for at least next 20 years.
Mrs. Mudgal asked the officers of all Municipalities to identify the locations for the installation of street lights in the town  and submit the same to her office for further submission to higher authorities. Besides she also asked for preparing a proposal for modernization of  meat shops in the city. Majority of decisions were resolved and the same would be implemented for the developmental needs of the common masses during the meeting.
