JAMMU, Aug 5: Deputy Commissioner, Jammu, Simrandeep Singh, reviewed the arrangements and preparedness of different departments for ensuing Independence Day 2015 celebrations here today.
The DDC was informed by the officers that rehearsals for Independence Day celebrations have been started and are in full swing. He directed the concerned officers to ensure that necessary arrangements are put in place well in time for smooth and enthusiastic celebration of the national event.
The DDC along with the concerned officers inspected the arrangements and rehearsals at the Mini Stadium. He directed the R&B, Police, Traffic, Education, Revenue, Municipality, Health PHE, PDD, Youth Services and Sports authorities to monitor preparedness, seating arrangements, barricading, invitation of guests, refreshment to school children, transport, electricity, drinking water, security, march past, medicare, face-lifting, cultural items etc.
