UDHAMPUR, Oct 4: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, convened a meeting of Block Level Officers to review the convergence of manpower, resources and schemes under Single Line Administration for coordinated functioning at block level and better implementation of schemes.
A detailed review of National Health Mission, PAHAL, Aaadhar, Swachh Bharat Mission, Aasra Scheme, Social Security Schemes, Ration Kerosene Oil and LPG distribution, MGNREGA Convergence, Relief, Public Grievances Camps and IEC activities was conducted in the meeting.
Chief Medical Officer Dr Chander Parkash presented a detailed resume of achievement of district health society and field hospitals in various schemes, OPD and IPD, IEC Camps, payments of honorarium and other aspects. Demands for opening of new sub-centres were also discussed.
The DDC reviewed block wise performance of BDOs under Swachh Bharat Mission and set the target of 12000 toilets to be constructed in current financial year. Taking serious note of past years pendency of works under SBM, he directed the BDOs to ensure completion of all such works latest by November 15 and instructed the District Panchayat Officer to convene weekly reviews with BDOs.
Dr Shahid impressed upon officers to create greater awareness among masses regarding “Aasra” scheme and directed them to enrol employees like Anganwadi workers, ASHAs, FMPHWs and Safaikaramacharis having annual income less than Rs 75,000 apart from focus on poor and destitute.
A detailed review of Kerosene Oil, Ration distribution and supply of LPG was also conducted wherein the CAPD Department and Gas Agencies were directed to ensure home delivery within stipulated distance free of cost and beyond that on chargeable basis. Tehsildars and BDOs have already been entrusted with daily monitoring of distribution outlets, fairness and transparency in distribution.
ADC Angrez Singh Rana, CPO Rakesh Jamwal, CMO Dr Chander Parkash, ACD Dhanantar Singh, ACR Rajiv Mangotra, SDM Chenani, Ramnagar, Basantgarh, Dudu, SE and XEn of PHE PDD PWD PMGSY, Dy Regisrar, Dy Controller, Tehsildars, BMOs, BDOs, TSOs and other officers attended the meeting.
