JAMMU, Sept 3: Deputy Commissioner Jammu Simrandeep Singh today attended the Tehsil Divas at the SDM office RS Pura.
The camp was attended by all revenue officers of Tehsil R S Pura. A large number of people including the Sarpanchs and Panchs of various Panchayats also attended the camp.
The issues raised by the people included encroachments on village common lands, ponds and graveyards. The DC passed instructions to the Tehsildar RS Pura to immediately evict all illegal encroachers from village common lands and register FIRs against them, as per the orders of Supreme Court.
The DC also asked the Tehsildar to immediately fill all vacancies of Numberdars and Chowkidars in the villages so that the Revenue administration is strengthened at cutting edge level. The SDM RS Pura and Tehsildar RS Pura were also present, besides the BDOs of RS Pura and Miran Sahib.
