DC resolves NFSA related grievances

JAMMU, May 9:  Deputy Commissioner (DC) Simrandeep Singh held a day long camp in the Suchetgarh Tehsil of RS Pura Sub-Division to resolve the grievances of the people related to National Food Security Act (NFSA).
The camp was held in three sittings at Dablehar (covering 20 villages), Sal Kalan (covering 25 villages) and Tourist Reception Centre, Suchetgarh (covering 32 villages).
A total of 77 villages were covered in the 10 hour long camp wherein spot enquiries were conducted to correct the errors in ration cards.
All the local officials of CAPD, Rural Development and Revenue Department attended the camp to facilitate the enquiries.
Sarpanches and Numberdars of different villages attended the camp alongwith people in order to get their issues redressed.
Vikas Kundal, SDM, R.S Pura, Savita Chauhan, Tehsildar, Suchetgarh, Nazar Shah, Assistant Director, CAPD, Rural II and NP Singh, Tehsil Supply Officer, Suchetgarh were also present.
The next camp is proposed to be held in Nagrota and Dansal area on May 16.
It pertinent to mention that the District Administration, Jammu, has simultaneously been holding camps under NFSA through the concerned Sub Divisional Magistrates and Assistant Directors of CAPD in order to lessen the issues of people related to NFSA.
