REASI, Dec 29: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Dr Sagar Dattatray Doifode today ordered the sealing of a Diagnostic Centre for violating Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques (PC&PNDT) Act.
It was reported that the USG centre had procured and installed an ultrasound scanning machine without seeking registration under the PC&PNDT Act 1994.
The Deputy Commissioner has also constituted a committee to investigate as to how the USG machine was procured and installed without due registration. The committee headed by Additional Deputy Commissioner Reasi comprises Chief Medical Officer Reasi, District Social Welfare Officer Reasi, and Tehsildar Reasi.
The committee shall submit its findings within the 15-day period.
