DC Reasi convenes public grievances redressal camp at Panthal

REASI, Apr 20: As a part of ongoing Public outreach Programme and Block Health Week, Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babila Rakwal today visited Health and Wellness Centre Manoon block Panthal and conducted a public meeting to listen to the public grievances and redress the same.
The camp was attended by DDC Councillor Rajinder Mengi; BDC Chairperson Katra Sham Lal; BDC chairperson Panthal Chander Mohan Singh; ADDC Jyoti Salathia; PO,ICDS Renu Kumari; SDM Katra Angrez Singh; Chief Medical Officer, Dr Rajeev Sharma; AD Fisheries Sanjesh Gupta; CHO Brij Vallabh; Legal Metrology Officer Pushkar Raj, besides other district officers along with PRIs , BDOs, Sarpanchs and Panchs.
A plantation drive was also launched at the venue by the Deputy Commissioner by planting saplings of fruit trees. The DC also inspected the departmental stalls showcasing different government schemes and products of SHGs.
At the outset, Babila Rakwal interacted with the PRIs and locals and listened to their grievances. She directed the concerned officers to ensure timely redress of genuine issues.
The PRIs sought construction of Veterinary Hospital at Panthal, filling of vacancies in schools, clearance of pending liability of 2017-18, Horticulture Plantation at subsidized rates, issuance of Golden Cards, access to Narayana hospital, provision of cemented electricity poles, renovation of dug well, filling of vacancies at BDO office Panthal, immediate commissioning of newly laid PHE pipelines, installation of Transformer, creation of post of SO in BDO Office, Completion of construction of vegetable market etc.
After listening to Public Grievances, the DC addressed all the important issues one by one. She also motivated the public to avail the benefits of the government schemes meant for socio-economic uplift of common people.
Scores of issues related to Water, Power, Road, Transport, Ration, Nutrition, Education, Health were resolved on the spot after face to face deliberation with District Officers, while for several other issues, the DDC fixed timeline for redressal of the same.
Meanwhile, the DC Reasi gave away Golden Cards to the beneficiaries and urged the people to enroll for Ayushman Bharat Scheme to extract benefits.
While reviewing the development works, Babila Rakwal directed the concerned authorities to complete the said projects in a stipulated time frame.
