Ramban, Jan 17: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ramban, Nazim Zai Khan, today interacted with the militancy affected students who have completed their weeklong tour of Delhi and Bangaloru organised by the National Foundation for Communal Harmony (NFCH) in coordination with district administration under “Wattan Ko Jano” initiative.
Pertinent to mention here that NFCH is an autonomous organisation of Minister of Home Affairs (GOI) with the main objective of providing assistance for the physical and psychological rehabilitation of child victims of communal, caste, ethnic or terrorist violence.
ADC, Ashok Kumar, District Social Welfare Officer (DSWO), Wahid-Ur-Rehman, Tour- Coordinator Megha Rajput and various other officers were present on the occasion
Earlier, students shared their experiences with DC and other dignitaries present on the occasion and informed that they visited several historical and metaphysical institutions in Delhi and Bengaluru, mainly the Red Fort and Jamia Masjid in Delhi, besides the Art of Living Ashram in Bangalore, ISRO, IIM, Lal Bagh, Mysore Zoo and Mysore Palace.
They informed that NFCH is providing financial assistance to them for preceding their education besides other opportunities in shape of scholarship. They said that this tour is a privilege for them and it is like an impossible dream to come true. They described their moments spent in ISRO as a heritage of their life.
Speaking on the occasion, DC stressed upon the students including Guddo Devi, Rubina Bano and Mahfooza Bano to concentrate on their education or learning of their professional skills for their overall development besides taking benefit from this assistance scheme.
