RAJOURI, MAY 14: Deputy Commissioner Rajouri Abhishek Sharma today reviewed the progress of uploading projects on the Vibrant Village Programme-II (VVP-II) portal here at a meeting held through virtual mode from the VC Room of the DC Office Complex.
The Deputy Commissioner took a detailed review of the status of projects being uploaded on the Vibrant Villages portal and directed the concerned officers to expedite the process to ensure timely completion of all formalities.
He stressed upon close coordination among departments for effective implementation of the programme in the identified villages.
The Vibrant Village Programme-II envisages focused interventions in selected villages for creation of livelihood opportunities through promotion of tourism and skill development and entrepreneurship, besides development of Cooperative Societies for Agriculture, Horticulture and medicinal plant sectors.
The programme also includes provision of road connectivity to unconnected villages, strengthening of village infrastructure, health and education facilities, energy including renewable energy and television and telecom connectivity.
The objective of the programme was to create sufficient incentives for people to stay in the selected villages and improve their overall quality of life.
Among others present in the meeting included, ADDC Malikzada Sheraz Ul Haq; ACD Auqil Nuvaid; DDE Mohd Nawaz Choudhary attended the meeting, while ADC Sunderbani, Ramkesh Sharma; ADC Nowshera, Pritam Lal Thapa and other concerned officers participated through virtual mode.
