PULWAMA, Jan 2: In a strategic move towards fostering entrepreneurship and self-reliance, a crucial meeting was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner Pulwama, Dr. Basharat Qayoom today at Administrative Complex Pulwama.
This meeting, a key initiative of the District Level Implementation Committee, focused on the approval of cases under the Tejaswini and Mumkin Schemes, underscoring the District Administration’s commitment to economic empowerment.
The district has placed a strong emphasis on creating opportunities for self-employment, and this meeting was a noteworthy stride in that direction. A total of 55 cases secured approval under the Mumkin Scheme, while 8 cases gained the nod under the Tejaswini Scheme in today’s session.
These schemes form an integral part of the District Administration’s comprehensive strategy to uplift the community by providing avenues for sustainable livelihoods. The Deputy Commissioner Pulwama expressed satisfaction with the outcomes, highlighting the pivotal role such initiatives play in fostering economic independence at the grassroots level.
The approved cases span various sectors, reflecting the inclusive approach of the District Administration. This signifies a significant leap forward in realizing the vision of a self-reliant and empowered community.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Director Employment, District Social Welfare Officer and other District and Sectoral officers.
