DC Kishtwar listens grievances of people at Chatroo

KISHTWAR, Dec 1: As part of the Block Diwas initiative of Lt. Governor’s Administration, district administration Kishtwar today organised a special public outreach camp at block Chatroo to get first hand appraisal of the public issues.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner (DC) Ashok Kumar Sharma listened to the issues/grievances put forth by the local people.
Several deputations and individuals from across the block projected their grievances and demands and sought early redressal of the same.
A delegation from Panchayat Chingam A demanded repair, maintenance of link road from Pahal Gwari to Khawra, while a delegation from Panchayat Inderwal B demanded the repair of 7 km stretch of approaching road to Singpora.
The Sarpanch from Panchayat Lower Chatroo C demanded replacement of wooden poles. Similarly Sarpanch from Chatroo B demanded inclusion of left out beneficiaries under Forest right Act.
Besides other general issues like timely payments under 14 FC, purchase of solar lights, rationalisation of WSS under Jal Jivan Mission, development of Tourism potential areas, coverage of beneficiaries under the Awas plus, adequate staff in health centres, up-gradation of educational, Power, health and Road Infrastructure in the block.
Officers present responded to the queries and grievances of people that pertained to their departments.
The DC, after giving patient hearing, addressed several issues and grievances on the spot and assured of taking up other issues with relevant authorities for early redressal.
On the up-gradation of the road from Chatroo to Chingam, the DC informed that directions have been given to NHIDCL and soon the issue will be redressed.
He said that mitigation of public issues is the priority of the administration and directed the officers to follow robust grievance redressal mechanisms so that people do not suffer at any cost.
He instructed officers to remain available for people every time and listen to their issues for prompt redressal.
During the programme, the Deputy Commissioner also apprised the masses about the various pro-people initiatives taken by the government of UT of J&K under umbrella Campaign run in the UT and in the district in particular, which includes “Aapki Zameen Aapki Nigrani”; Yogyata Se Rojgar Mahotsav; Janta Ki Scheme-Janta Ki Bhagidari; One Person One Golden Card; Har Ghar Nal Se Jal; Berojgar Se Swa-Rojgar; Har Kam Ki Shuruat; Har Gaon Swachh Gaon; Har Gaon Hariyali; Har Ghar Dastak.
