DC Kathua discusses status of land acquisition for BSF

KATHUA, FEb 28: Deputy Commissioner Kathua, Rahul Pandey chaired a meeting of concerned officers to discuss issues concerning BSF.
While discussing the issue of pending land compensation in Tehsil Hiranagar and Marheen, the DC directed concerned tehsildars to organize camps for distribution of compensation to displaced persons affected by land acquisition.
The SDM Hiranagar was directed to submit the report for transfer of land in Paharpur village so that BSF authorities can move ahead with the process.
Regarding the issue of Social Impact Assessment (SIA) exemption, the DC directed concerned officials to put up the requisite documentation for its early issuance so that the process of BOP and Bund could be taken up by BSF.
The DC also directed SDM Hiranagar to make a draft of relief and rehabilitation plan for affected populace in Bobia and Londi border area.
The meeting also discussed the issue of appointment of administrator for the purpose of award wherein DC issued directions to the concerned officers to set the process in motion.
The DC further directed revenue officers to handover the revenue document of community bunkers for design analysis by BSF.
The meeting was also attended by ACR Kathua, Tehsildars and other concerned.
