DC Kargil distributes mobility aids among specialy-abled persons

KARGIL, Oct 13: District Administration in collaboration with Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust today organized a function in connection with the distribution of mobility aids for different specially-abed persons at Tourist Reception Centre, Baroo.
The Deputy Commissioner and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC), Kargil was the chief guest on the occasion while as Trustee, Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust, Rajiv Mehta was the Guest of Honour.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner stressed on initiating joint efforts to ensure that the disabled persons get better accessibility to all necessary services in a more pragmatic manner. He said such functions provide us with an opportunity to peep into the past endeavors and recognize our shortcomings for further improving the services towards these special people. He also asked all the concerned departments and Non-Governmental Organizations (NGOs) to work with unison and ensure every possible help to the deserved disabled persons.
Trustee, Ratna Nidhi Charitable Trust, Rajiv Mehta in his speech highlighted the activities of the Trust.
Later, the DC distributed  172 Calliper, 9 Jaipur foot (Artificial Limb), 25 Cruches, 1 Artificial hand, 26 Hearing aid and 9 Wheel Chairs among the deserved Special Disabled persons on the occasion.
