JAMMU, Dec 7: Deputy Commissioner Jammu, Kumar Rajiv Ranjan today inspected progress of widening and alignment work on Jammu-Akhnoor Highway along with a team of senior officers.
The DC was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner (Adm) Jammu, SDM Jammu North, SDM Akhnoor, Tehsildar Marh, Tehsildar Jammu, Tehsildar Bhalwal, Tehsildar North and General Manager National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL).
The Deputy Commissioner was informed that the revenue records of sixteen villages has been prepared and authenticated by the General Manager NHIDCL and notification under Section 4-1 issued for the same, while the demarcation of 11 more villages is under progress. The DC directed the representatives of the NHIDCL to deploy more staff to fix the alignment of the remaining villages coming under Jammu-Akhnoor road to fast track the preparation of revenue documents and land acquisition.
