DODA, Sept 30: In his ongoing initiatives to redress the grievances of the people at their doorsteps, Deputy Commissioner Doda, Bhupinder Kumar today held a public grievances redressal camp at remote Jangalwar, Thatri.
During the interaction, the people of these areas putforth their demands and requested the DC to take necessary steps for their early redressal.
Responding to the demands of the people DC directed AEE PWD (R&B) to immediately start the pre mixing and blacktopping work on Jangalwar road for which tenders have been floated. SDM Thatri was directed to expedite the process of finalization of land compensation cases on Thatri-Dali Khatawa and Thatri- chera road. About the complaints of encroachments along the National Highway and on link roads, SDM Thatri was directed to remove all the encroachments.
The PHE Department was asked to complete the pending work on Kathawa water supply scheme in one month and SDM Thatri was directed to monitor the progress of the same besides the department was also enjoyed upon to start work immediately on the sanctioned water filter plant .
District Social Welfare Officer Doda assured that the pending old age and widow pensions of the people of the area will be released by 20th October and he was asked to disburse the amount of social welfare schemes rationally taking into consideration the population and pendency time.
He also directed ACD Doda to repair link road to Jangalwar Government Higher Secondary School on priority. Besides DEPO Doda was directed to rationally adjust the recently appointed teachers in the district and ensure that no rural school is left without the sufficient staff.
