JAMMU, Aug 7: Dogri Bhasha Academy (DBA), Jammu under the guidance of Yashpaul Nirmal, founder DBA organised a book release function here today in which the book ‘Mian Dido: The Robinhood of Jammu’ translated in English by Dr. Abhay Singh Bhadwal was released.
The function was presided over by Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, former Additional Secretary, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages while Vikram Randhawa, MLA Bahu was chief guest and Prof. Lalit Magotra was special guest.
Roshan Bral, DBA president; Dr. Ratan Basotra, advisor; youth president, Dr. Ashu Sharma; Sunita Bhadwal and translator of the Book, Dr. Abhay Singh Bhadwal also shared the dais.
Earlier Roshan Bral delivered the welcome address.
Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn extended full support to the team of Dogri Bhasha Academy for working for the upliftment of Dogri Language. He also congratulated Dr. Abhay Singh Bhadwal for the release of his book.
A detailed research paper was presented by senior Journalist O.P Sharma which was highly appreciated by the audience.
The chief guest appreciated the efforts of Dogri Bhasha Academy for organising such beautiful programmes and said that Dr. Abhay Singh Bhadwal is doing a great job in his mother tongue and English language.
The programme was conducted by Sahil Badhyal and vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Rattan Basotra, DBA advisor.
