JAMMU, Mar 18: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by a practicing advocate B R Manhas challenging the J&K RTI Rules, 2012 and seeking restoration of RTI Rules 2010, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur today granted two weeks further time to the State to file the reply.
After hearing petitioner B R Manhas in person whereas Senior AAG Gagan Basotra for the State, the DB took serious note of non filling of the reply and said that in such an important matter the reply was expected to be filed by today.
However, on the request of Senior AAG, DB granted two weeks further time to file the reply and directed that the reply be now filed on or before April 8, 2013. The PIL will be listed on April 15, 2013.
