JAMMU, Feb 3: In a Public Interest Litigation filed by Balvinder Singh & Ors regarding recovery of Sales Tax & VAT from all the defaulters, who had failed to pay the sales tax under the J&K General Sales Tax Act and J&K VAT Act, a Division Bench of State High Court Comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Mohammad Yaqoob Mir after hearing Sr. Adv Sunil Sethi with Adv Deewakar Sharma appearing for the PIL whereas AAG HA Siddiqui appearing for the State who sought time to file report with regard to un-recovered amount. The High Court granted two weeks time and directed that the latest status report be filed before the next date of hearing.
