DB directs oil companies, State to file complete status report

JAMMU, Aug 27: In the much publicized court on its own motion Public Interest Litigation regarding the crisis because of shortage of LPG, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Justice Virender Singh and Justice Tashi Rabstan today directed the State and oil companies to file complete status report.
After hearing Senior Advocate DC Raina with Advocate RP Sharma appearing for the PIL, Division Bench directed counsel appearing for the oil companies to provide latest status report apprising the court as to how many outlets have been operational till date under different schemes and how much time more the oil companies will take in commissioning the remaining outlets.
Division Bench further directed Advocate R Koul appearing for the oil companies to file a report of steps already taken by the companies for supply of LPG as winter stock for Srinagar/Leh/Kargil and file a composite report in this regard within four weeks.
AAG Seema Shekhar was directed to submit complete status report in terms of earlier order within the four weeks.
