DB directive in PIL seeking better facilities in hospitals

JAMMU, Feb 21: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) regarding better facilities in Government hospitals, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice Badar Durrez Ahmed and Justice Ali Mohammad Magrey today found the affidavit filed by the respondents as absolutely inadequate and issued directions for filing better one within next three days.
Earlier, the Division Bench had directed that the affidavit shall clearly indicate as to whether all the departments in the Government Medical College, Jammu have adequate doctors with regard to each specialty.
“It shall also indicate as to whether all the equipments necessary for each specialty are available and functioning. The same shall also be done for any other associate hospital and District Hospital within Jammu city. Moreover, the affidavit shall also indicate the number of ambulances, which are available in Jammu city, whether Government or private”, the DB had directed.
