JAMMU, Nov 19: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Sumit Nayyar regarding security of High Court as well as District Court Jammu, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice Gita Mittal and Justice Tashi Rabstan today ordered joint inspection of the roads with the direction to Traffic Police, Fire Services Department, Health Department and Registrar General to file a report so as to ensure that there is free circulation of emergency vehicles which would include police vehicles, ambulances as well as fire trucks at all points of time.
“Let the inspection be conducted and completed within ten days from today and compliance report be filed before this court within two weeks”, DB directed.
This significant order was passed by Division Bench after going through the status report filed by Senior Superintendent of Police, Security, Jammu which shows that the status of free circulation in the court complex is not satisfactory.
