Day 4 of Poetry Fest dedicated to Dogri

JAMMU, Dec 24: In connection with Dogri Manta Diwas, J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages (JKAACL) has successfully organised a day dedicated to Dogri language during the ongoing seven day Poetry Festival at JKAACL here.
The Poetry Festival intends to accommodate more than 250 poets of seven languages—Urdu, Hindi, Kashmiri, Dogri, Punjabi, Gojri and Pahari, with a day dedicated to each of these languages.
Ashok Singh, Director Finance J&K was chief guest and the event was presided over by Padamshree Dr. Jitender Udhampuri, an acclaimed literary personality of the region.
Jang Bahadur, Special Secretary, GAD was guest of honour.
Bharat Singh, Secretary JKAACL delivered welcome address.
In his presidential address Ashok Singh, Director Finance applauded the initiative of Bharat Singh, Secretary JKAACL for taking up such endeavours for the promotion of Dogri Language.
Mohd. Rafiq, Khajur Singh, Saroj Bala, Kuldeep Kippi, Chandu Bhau, Bishan Singh Dardi, Satya Paul Sharma, Keemat Raj, T.C Kalandari, Mohan Singh, Inderjeet Kesar, Randhir Singh Raipuria, Roshan Bral, Dr. Jitender Udhampuri, Sunita Bhadwal, Rattan Bhardwaj, Balwan Singh Jamoria, Yash Paul Yash, Vijaya Thakur, Shiv Dev Sushil, Shiv Dev Manhas, Narinder Singh Chib, Pawan Verma, Dr. Chanchal Bhasin, Shambo Ram, Raj Rahi and Neelam Verma were also present on the occasion.
Reeta Khadyal, Assistant Editor (Dogri) at JKAACL, conducted the proceedings.
Dr. Shahnawaz, Editor Cum Cultural Officer, Gojri delivered vote of thanks.
