Dastardy Act

Sir,
Terrorists have once again proved their presence in the valley. They have dared to attack the convoy of ongoing Shree Amar Nath Yatra despite heavy security arrangements put in place by the Government. We can look for a number of pointed adjectives to curse the terrorists such as dastardly act, inhuman act, cowardly act of a trans border terrorists, Pak sponsored act of savagery so on and so forth to calm down and pacify ourselves but simply by blaming others we shall reach nowhere and the tango of foreign mercenaries would continue unhindered and uninterrupted for years together on our soil. There was crystal clear threat perception. We made some serious efforts to thwart their nefarious designs but failed to foresee and pre-empt this bloody act of the terrorists, may be due to some element of complacency coupled with criminal negligence of personnel connected with screening and checking of transport ferrying the pilgrims. All these factors must be analysed and reviewed for future guidance and pre-emptive action. This bizarre episode must also act as eye opener for our peaceniks and the so called human rights activists.
Heinous act of attacking the pilgrims of a particular community enroute to religious pilgrimage for having a glimpse of their established deity and offering prayers is extremely provocative and unpardonable. This is unacceptable and must be stopped once for all. Routine rhetorical utterances and political condemnations for public consumption are okay but not appropriately adequate to stamp out the scourge of terrorism. It has to be translated into concrete action. From  the study of  events and the developing scenario we find that there is conspicuous paradigm shift in the strategy and approach of Union Government  and security forces which has started producing desired results but this needs to be further accelerated on the basis of a time bound process without slowing down the momentum. Perhaps we are still dithering to undertake decisive campaign to dismantle the sleeper cells of terrorists and their camouflaged hide outs in the whole of valley.

Sir,
J & K Police version that the Amarnath Yatris in a bus, especially full of women were not the specific target of terrorists but the vehicle carrying the Security personnel was, is just simply a cover up and to bail out the terrorists in Kashmir, who carried out this henious crime against humanity.
It is a known fact that these terrorists in Kashmir are highly trained guerallas and they don’t easily miss their targets that too when they have a target of sitting ducks like innocent Women Yatris !!!
